The City of Belmont seeks a customer service driven and team-oriented individual to fill the position of Accountant II. The Finance Department is a small, well-integrated, friendly and highly professional organization. The Finance Department is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, financial data processing, budget preparation and management, risk management, treasure and debt management, business licensing, procurement, housing and economic development and central services.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible governmental accounting experience comparable to that of an Accountant I in the City of Belmont.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting or business administration.
