The City of Southport is seeking a seasoned Finance Director for this charming city of 4,124. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of municipal accounting, budgeting, and financial control. The city operates as a Council Manager form of government with a current budget of $33 million. The Finance Department currently has a team of six (6) full-time employees.
Compensation and Benefits
The City of Southport offers a competitive salary depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Desired Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a major in Accounting or Business and considerable experience in Public Finance Administration including considerable supervisory experience. Preference given to candidates with a CPA, Certified Local Government Finance Officer or Master’s in Business or Public Administration.
