Employer Profile

Jupiter Inlet Colony celebrates its 65th year as a Town in 2024. This
friendly, low-key beach community is situated at the southern tip of
Jupiter Island, surrounded by the Indian River, the Jupiter Inlet, and the
Atlantic Ocean. JIC has 236 homes and 500 residents, about half live here
year round and half are seasonal. Residents are keenly aware of the
privilege of living in “paradise” and are good stewards of their homes, the
common areas, and our beach, which is one of the world’s most productive
sea turtle nesting beaches. Across the Indian River, it is bordered by
JILONA, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area.

The Town has been recognized as one of the “Greenest Towns in Florida”
and one of the “Safest Towns in Florida”. It has its own Police Department.
The Town’s Social Committee, Building and Zoning Commitee and an
independent Colony Garden Club offer multiple ways for residents to
engage with the Town beyond serving as Commissioner. Residents make
friends easily, volunteer in the larger PBC community, and pride
themselves on being helpful neighbors.

The Town has a storied history (see the "short peek at our past" link
below). Residents are committed to keep the Town’s laid-back,
unpretentious vibe. The Town’s leadership understands the importance of
engaging with neighboring communities to promote policies that align with
JIC’s tranquil living and environmental values.
